F-**** Air France has been a part of the LAX scene now for quite some time. Besides having 3 daily non-stops flights to CDG, they also run an A340-300 to the south seas island of Tahiti, French Polynesia. Here we see the inbound flight from Papeete on short final for 24R, as the sun sets into the Pacific Ocean. You have got to admit the classic lines of this bird are gorgeous! Local time is now 19:03 PDT.
