That's when the light of the bolt ''hits'' them! Wonderfull, This shot would even have been amazing without the aircraft. Now think about how amazing I find it WITH the aircraft!

A visitor from United States posted Thu July 26, 2007: Absolutely incredible. I love the way the CRJ in the background is silhouetted with lightning flashes twice during the exposure. I think the lightning hidden behind the foreground plane was a big factor in making this a great shot, silhouetting the back of the plane and the clouds (or mountains?)above. I've been browsing airliners.net photos for a long time and this one made my jaw drop.

The plane has a wonderful contrasting orange to the dull colors around it that makes it stand out, as well as how often are you lucky enough to catch a shot that opportune?
