I like how you have captured the plane straight down the middle, I like how the photo is so sharp, but down in the corner the jetwash has blurred the 744, I like how you can see the fan blades in the engines and the colours present. Top photo mate, really liking it 5/5! Cheers.

Not AF1 (thats just a callsign for starters). KL691 from AMS operated by a B744.

Got to love that wing span. A plane doesn't get much nicer then that and the 747 in the background tops it all off. Reminds me of when i saw the klm 747 in yyz.

I just noticed you can see the wake turbulence effect left behind the starboard wing. You can also see the difference in air density created by the lift effect underneath the port wing.
Glorious photograph. This photo could very well have passed the screening in high resolution in my opinion!

Visitor from Canada, you do not see "the difference in air density created by the lift effect underneath the port wing". What you're seeing is the difference in air density caused by different air temperatures. Engine exhaust heating the air locally, changes its refraction index and that's what you see below the wing there.

Visitor from Sweden: I was not talking about jetblast, I really meant what I said. Look a little right of the jetblast from the port engine and you'll see a "bubble" of different refractive index. :)

In this picture, you can really see how beautiful airplanes are. 5 stars for sure! =)

Some nice effects under the wings indeed, jetblast, wake turbulence and difference in air density; it's all there, but a little hard to notice with the distance and the clouds as backdrop.

Wow! No doubt, 5 stars, indeed! .. And deserves more than 5 .. Great view, clouds are always a nice background .. the engines fan blades in 'almost perfect' sync, as noticed the visitor from Mauritius, are cool too. I like the 747 as "outsider" in this picture. ;-)
