This is probably the first time a 777 has been in Churchill MB. She was going over when they had a cockpit fire (the rumor in YYQ at least) so they diverted here. As Churchill does not service anything larger then a 737 (rarely) there are no stairs that would reach the doors on the 777, so they had to use the emergency shoot to deplane the pax and then charter two 737 to come and pick up all the pax. The vis was down to 1/2 mile in snow showers or lower when we arrived in Calm Air's Saab 340.

INcredible! And Two 737's were rushed in! I want to thank the photographer for being at the right place at the right time and making this highly unusual shot of a great airliner of a renowned stylish airline (on -you might say- an off-day), and for sharing it and its remarkable story with us.
