A visitor from South Africa posted Mon October 27, 2008: The photo was well done and it reminds me of my days in the Airforce of Zimbabwe back in 1982 when I started my aircraft maintenance apprenticeship. The first aircraft I worked on was the DC3 known then as the Dakota. This picture reminds me of great memories I will always cherish.Great shot.

A visitor from United States posted Sat January 14, 2006: In 1960 I went from Chattanooga, Tennessee to San Diego to visit my brother, There were no direct flights then, so two sections of the trip were made on DC 3's. I enjoyed the sound and the surge of power as those great planes went down the runway and lifted off! Modern jetliners may be quieter and smoother, but almost boring!
