If you see the CF6 Engine Cowls of Air India's 747-337Ms; they are exactly similar to the GE CF6 powered 747-400s of Lufthansa,Air France,KLM,JAL,ANA etc. but other 747-300 CF6 engine cowls look like the cowls of CF6 747-200s

I fully agree with the comments from Rahul. Sad to see such beauty is scraped, becos I have seen this aircraft parked in Mumbai. I have travelled in her sister ship (VT-EPW-Shivaji) and still remember that day. Shivaji also not flying these days it seems.

It's not just decommissioning of an aircraft, its an end of a glorious era for this airframe. It served well and served long.RIP

There will be a Time when Boeing 747-8s, Boeing 777s, Boeing 787s and Airbus A330/A340, Airbus A350s, Airbus A380s will be seen in a state like this. RIP....I have always admired AIs 747s.
I just admire the Boeing 747 Classics, they were so advanced yet so out-dated. No matter how advanced the future aircraft will be with LCD screens, GPS systems etc etc....BOEING 747 CLASSICs will always be my Favourite aircraft - Rahul Patnaik
