A visitor from - posted Tue September 4, 2012: The reason why there is reverse thrust in the air is due to the long spool-up time of the engines, so this already gets them ready for landing. Nice picture Raymond!

A visitor from United States posted Sat June 3, 2006: My guess is that since it has 4 engines 2 are on reverse thrust and slowing the plane down and 2 are providing thrush so the plane dosent slam on he runway. i guess its an easiae way of slowing aircraft like this.
