This was the only ever visit of Air Kruise to Newcastle, with passengers for the "Royal Show". During this period Air Kruise were based at Ferryfield Airport and being owned by the British Aviation Services Group, who also owned Silver City Airways. Both companies had a close working association and in time the Air Kruise fleet was slowly taken over by Silver City. This was completed by 1958.
