Great shot! The seat shells could be a bit higher - they don't seem to provide much privacy.

Definitely not the way to fly for a window seat freak like me! When is this terrible herring bone layout going away? Oh well who cares, I can only afford Y!

The interior and design inside the aircraft is stunning! It looks extremely futuristic and luxurious.

Striking Interior of the new 787-9

Nice angle shows this brand new 789 J cabin off quite well. I love looking out the window but you don't miss it that much on long hauls when you're well properly nackered and sit down in these 'herringbone' J class seats. Usually my flights are quite simple, I board, I nap, I eat, I sleep, I eat, I sleep, I eat, I nap and then I deplane. When I travel, the flight is the hotel, so these seats do the trick. So sad that Air Canada is going to the traditional style J seats. NO PRIVACY with those seats and your head is out in the aisle instead of your feet. Which would you rather take a hit to when 'shift happens'?

Is there any point any more in having windows?

I am afraid that this modern idea of not looking out the window is not for me.

What a waste of window seat views! I once asked the check-in agent to give me the seat of anyone who hadn't checked-in yet (she did). Couldn't do that here...

Sorry, although the interior looks nice, what is the point of even having windows? Plus, anyone walking down the aisle going forward can stare you down. I don't like it at all. The plane is beautiful though.

Is it Gorbachev 2nd on the right side?

Shame about the seat orientation in relation to the lovely big windows. I'm sure you can twist your head around backwards and look out past the back of the seat in front.

Also, the man 2nd on the right looks like Russian man Gorbachev, and the man on the left side with a camera looks like NZ chef Ray McVinnie :/
