Fresh out of the paint shop, the last Douglas commercial airliner to be produced is seen sitting in front of Building 80 where it was built with the historic "Fly DC Jets" sign above.

This is a very sad end to a great line of aircrafts. At least we know they will be flying for years to come.

The end of a jet era. The last Douglas/McDonnell-Douglas aircraft to be made. Farewell to McDonnell Douglas.

Sad to see DC jets politically sacrified in the name of boeing monopoly. Really unfair.

Under the word durable in the dictionary is a photo of a Douglas built aircraft. All Douglas and later McDonnell-Douglas aircraft were built to last forever it seems. Sad to see them stop production.
