A visitor from - posted Sun November 1, 2009: I would say that they are permanent because when I do a walk around for the Cessna 172 (flying school) one of the things we look for is 'wrinkles' along the tail section, which indicate a hard landing. although the scale that we are talking about here is somewhat larger!!

Well, I guess this wrinkles are permanent, as you can see on some different photos in an appropriate (smooth) angel. So I would say these wrinkles are permanent, if not, then the hull had suffered a major damamge on that touch-down.
