It's amazing to see the shape the airframe is in after enduring an impact of such magnitude. Thanks to the heroic efforts of the flight crew of US Airways flight 1549 all passengers survived. January 15, 2009: US Airways Flight #1549 by member September11 Aircraft: N106US (A320). Route: LGA-CLT. 150 Passengers, 5 Crew Members (no fatalies). While on its initial climb out, the plane struck a flock of birds which resulted in an immediate loss of thrust from both engines. The plane ditched in Hudson River.
