A visitor from United Kingdom posted Mon December 26, 2011: This a special parking of the dedicated wide-gauge route between Langon (harbor near Bordeaux) and Toulouse Airbus factory. This special road had been fitted for special trucks carrying large dimensions parts of the A380 coming from all over Europe by sea. They do day stop as a regular convoy operate on night time. Visit www.igg.fr for more details (in French only) and 2012 provisional schedule if you want to track the next departure.
A visitor from France posted Mon December 26, 2011: This is the last daytime stop while the fuselage parts are shipped to the final assembly plant. They had previously been collected by a ship from Germany to England to Northwestern France (namely Nantes), then onto a barge on the Gironde, then finally on these trucks for 3 nightly legs. -CC- thx mate for making me fly this ;)
