A visitor from Mauritius posted Sat November 7, 2009:The nose wheel part looks a bit different.Hope they got some nice shots, because seeing the background, the weather was not quite good that day!
A visitor from Mauritius posted Sat November 7, 2009:Looks really, really sleek.
A visitor from France posted Sat November 7, 2009:Great Corvette wings man !
A visitor from - posted Fri November 6, 2009:Not reinforced, just lowered to level the airplane when on ground.
A visitor from France posted Fri November 6, 2009:Superb catch. And cool to see an A
A visitor from United Kingdom posted Fri November 6, 2009:There is the "bump" on the nose landing gear because the A330 characteristically slopes forward which is undesirable for a freight aircraft, particularly at loading/unloading. This piece of engineering adds extra height to level out the aircraft along its fuselage.
A visitor from Germany posted Fri November 6, 2009:Great image. The front landing gear is lifted up to level the cargo floor. On a pax A330 the cabin floor is declining. This is undesirable in a cargo use. For converted frighter there will be a mobile wedge to level the cargo floor for loading.
A visitor from United Kingdom posted Fri November 6, 2009:I think the bulde around the nose gear is there to make sure when the aircraft is on the ground, the floor is perfectly horizontal - which makes it easier to load with cargo
A visitor from Germany posted Fri November 6, 2009:I must say, this Airbus looks really sexy!
A visitor from United States posted Fri November 6, 2009:Glad to se her in the skies! The front landing gear isn't reinforced, the bump is there to raise the front of the plane so that it sits level to the ground. This was necessary so that cargo could be loaded properly.
A visitor from France posted Fri November 6, 2009:The front landing gear seams to be heavily reinforced compared to the pax version
