Great shot! It's good to see the Qantas Decals on this new super jumbo. And great to see from The Hill in Sydney Park as it flew around. Pity it didn't land from the North. And damn those flies on the hill!

Boeing sure has tough competition with this big boy! I sure hope they get their 787 out soon. GREAT SHOT, THOU!

A visitor from Australia posted Sun November 13, 2005:
The A380 was always going to land from the south in Sydney (34L).

It was planned that way, and it happened that way.

If the media was saying that it was going to land from the north, they were misinformed.

Beautiful, beautiful airplane! I've yet to see her in person, but just seeing the mammoth scale she's built on sends chills down my back! Excellent shot.

I prefer Boeing's planes to Airbus's but A380 airliner is really interseting machine - it's huge like a any air-monster. I like big airliners and I like it because of that :-)

Oh what a major dissapointment the A380 was coming in to Sydney. Nearly an hour late and landing from the south, rather than from the north per the media. Spectacular? Not unless you could see it. Lots of frustrated people on the hill at Sydney Park.

I was one of the thousands that came to see this incredible machine. I am a flight attendant with Qantas, so it was and even prouder day for me. I can't wait to fly on her.
