Nice photo. The winglets to look better in-flight than they did whilst taxiing for some reason.

The red THING on the tail is just for data transmission in real-time used to send information back to flight test crews on the ground. The E-4B command post and E-6 also use these sort of trailing antenna to communicate with submarines.

Very airplane ! The tailcone is used to mesure a lot of information ...

The trailing cone is used to measure the real static pressure around the airplane in order to modelize the errors made by the static pressure probes of the airplane. In flight the tube that links the cone to the tail is unrolled so that the cone is placed 100 meters behind the tail.

This is gonna take some time to get used to!

Are those air flow sensors on the inner side of the winglets on the left side, or just some part of the structure that isn't painted?

The spots on the inboard surface of the winglet are probably tufts to help the engineers visualize the airflow across the airfoil surface.

Wonderful photo of the Airbus A320 with the new winglets. I personally prefer the older type.
