I had to sprint about 200 yards to get this shot. I saw the A380 cross LAX at 10,000 feet on a diagonal and start to make the turn to base. By the time I parked my car at the Proud Bird restaurant I had about 30 seconds to get into position and take the shot. This is the result: All 22 wheels of this monster are about to touchdown on 25L.

Congrats, this is in my opinion, the best exterior a380 shot on a.net, it really shows the length and elongates it, something other shots can't do

Lovely visualization of the amount of lifting area needed to get this amount of metal airborne!

Great shot- but unless the 24 complex was closed the A380s always land 24R due to escort vehicles having to bring them across the taxiways.. Glad you made the sprint and got this shot!

This is the photographer: To the comment below mine, you are 100% wrong. The A380 has been landing on 25L since the runway was retrofitted to accommodate it. There are several shots on Airliners.net showing this. Like I said in my comment, I parked at the Proud Bird Restaurant which is next to 25L.
