N792AS (cn 28887/2903) Uploading live from the event, here's Alaska's proud and newest about to go through the water canon as they start up! A.net gets the first look at Alaska's Salmon Three Salmon scheme, and she's a beauty! The aircraft has been under wraps at KPAE for a long time now, and was finally unveiled today! Special features include an emblem inside the plane, and a special paint that makes the scales shimmer in the sun. To Alaska and the painting crew, as well as the artist, fantastic job!

Wow once you think about the time and precision that went into making this peice of art, you can realize how wonderful it is.

There's something fishy about that plane :-)

A visitor from Canada posted Tue November 29, 2005:
The double image of the nose of plane and salmon. The reality of the tail, wow. The colors and detail are so real. What a super way to call attention to Alaska Airlines. Great job.

I'm writing from Venezuela. For my flag.
Those guys must be careful if they do not want another eagle incident. A beautiful image.

Hey guys, you wont' believe this fish I caught yesterday... It was THIS long, and weighed TONS ! [Warn the crew to fly well out of range of fishermen !]

A visitor from Bulgaria posted Thu October 13, 2005:
Nice aircraft, nice shot! Thank you!

A visitor from United States posted Thu October 13, 2005:
Cameron, you are awesome.

perfect angle to make an X-Plane paint out of too.

A visitor from United States posted Mon October 10, 2005:
I think I'd have a problem reeling this monster in! Looks tasty! ;)

A visitor from United States posted Sat October 8, 2005:
It's not a seven salmon seven, or a salmon thirty salmon.
It's being called a salmon thirty salmon. Alaska has been using this name for their 200s in ANC for years, although this is a 400.

A visitor from Canada posted Sat October 8, 2005:
The first photo to show the wonderful paint scheme!

A visitor from Portugal posted Fri October 7, 2005:
Nice paint job!!! But the tasty ones are eaten here in Portugal :D

A visitor from United States posted Fri October 7, 2005:
Very nice paint job, waste of money Alaska spent on this from a grant.

A visitor from United Kingdom posted Thu October 6, 2005:
Brill!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A visitor from United States posted Thu October 6, 2005:
Excellent! The airplane fuselage shape is the perfect canvas to paint a fish, such as this one and also a whale like Shamu on Southwest. I like this one better though.

A visitor from Brazil posted Wed October 5, 2005:
Amazing that "flying fish"!

A visitor from Thailand posted Wed October 5, 2005:
It's called the Seven Salmon Seven!

A visitor from United States posted Wed October 5, 2005:
The proportions of the fish to the aircraft is exceptionally. I don't think I have a big enough rod and reel for this one.

A visitor from Australia posted Wed October 5, 2005:
The dynamics of this art work make the fish appear as though it is along side the aircraft rather than on it.

A visitor from United States posted Wed October 5, 2005:
Special paint and a beautiful fish, one extremly interesting look on a fantastic A/C

A visitor from India posted Tue October 4, 2005:
Wow, looks like a real salmon. it certainly gives the 747 in the background a complex.

A visitor from United States posted Tue October 4, 2005:
Gotta love the fish

A visitor from Japan posted Tue October 4, 2005:
Very Good!

A visitor from Kenya posted Tue October 4, 2005:
The paint details are great....the 737 looks great against the 747

A visitor from United States posted Tue October 4, 2005:
Such a perfect photo! Nice plane with a beautifully drawn salmon fist. It actually matches with the fuselage of the B737 too! Photographically, taken at a nice angle and altitude showing the profile of the aircraft.

A visitor from Canada posted Tue October 4, 2005:
This is a beautiful job! A great way to promote a great state. I just hope people don't think Alaska Airlines don't pack 'em in like sardines!!!

A visitor from United States posted Mon October 3, 2005:
This is one beautiful flying salmon! Wonderful shot, indeed congrats to Alaska Air for the promo and to Mark Boyle for an absolutely gorgeous salmon! Picture perfect!

A visitor from United Kingdom posted Mon October 3, 2005:
Beautiful artwork, but it makes the outline of the aircraft difficult to determine (Particularly against the 747 behind)

A visitor from Malaysia posted Mon October 3, 2005:
Wow,What a photoshot! This photoshot is a truly great paintjob at all!

A visitor from United Kingdom posted Mon October 3, 2005:
Nice photo and great plane, one of my favorite jets! But I have to admit I do not like the fish painting on the airplane. To be sure its very well done and the artist has great skill but somehow I don't think it belongs on the side of an airplane! Yes boys & girls everyones different :P

A visitor from Australia posted Mon October 3, 2005:
There's something fishy about this...I think there trying to BAIT us.

A visitor from Japan posted Mon October 3, 2005:
Very nice ! Expecting to see more photos of this fish cruising in the deep blue Alaskan sky.

A visitor from United States posted Mon October 3, 2005:
It's a new plane with a new paint job and it's a great shot. Background could be a little different, though, but good.

A visitor from Canada posted Sun October 2, 2005:
Great shot of this Salmon Thirty Seven!

A visitor from Canada posted Sun October 2, 2005:
It's a great looking picture but the only thing I don't like is the big 747 right behind it. In my opinion, it takes the look of this magnificent paint job.

A visitor from United States posted Sun October 2, 2005:
Talk about someone spotting a high-altitude flying fish on land???!!! ... Amazing paint job... !!!

A visitor from United States posted Sun October 2, 2005:
The juxtaposition of land and sea, makes this a great shot!

A visitor from United States posted Sun October 2, 2005:
Livery really gives you the feeling of the Alaskan outdoors!

A visitor from United States posted Sun October 2, 2005:
Amazing Great job, but most of the credit should go to Sen. Ted Stevens and the $500,000 grant given to ASA for the new paint. Our tax dollars at work!
