EI-CMY (cn E2039) This is another picture of the airport of Florence. We were waiting AF Bae 146 vacating the runway before been cleared for take off runway 05. How you can see its only 1620 meters long and it faces the mountain. The are no initial instrumental departures from this runway, and the pilot have to perform a steep climb out at maximum 140 kts while turning to the left to intercept a radial outbound PRT VOR. Note at the end of the runway the horizontal white and red stripes that show the end of the runway.
