Second Dreamliner is just moments away from her first touchdown. The wing flex on this plane is just beautiful!

Very cool plane, but the ANA logo looks uninspired to me. I feel like the time for a redesign may be drawing near.

The whole gear failed to get down due to an electrical problem during the flight. The pilots had to make a a 2.5G-turn to get the gear down and especially locked.
But great shot by the way

Wow, those flyable T-33 are awesome, would be great if someone can upload some shots of those beauties, instead of shots of this ugly plastic 787!

Love the flexing of wings as she is about to touchdown. I hope there will be a larger version of this new Boeing machine. The T-33 is nice also.

The Aircraft if a lot more complex than the picture. This is a 788, there ARE bigger ones such as the 789. The wind flex is amazing. The engines have the tapered back edges because they engineered that it would have a great noise reduction. The plane itself has a large quantity of composite materials and overall is 20% more efficient. The plane is revolutionary, so the fuss should be as big as it is. This plane is revolutionizing flight for the next generation of large commercial airliners.

Great shot, very good angle! The 787 is not ugly... he is just different! In fact, his design is truly revolutionary!! Long life to the Dreamliner!

Great looking photo, but an even better looking plane. The designers at Airbus really need to learn to make beautiful planes like these.

When I first saw the 787 it looked strange and ugly, now it is flying I can appreciate the beauty that this aircraft has.

At a glance, it looks like a bigger Embraer aircraft.

Look at the flaps, they seem to be of one curved piece. Very beautiful. And nice to see that plane finally fly, it belongs the sky.

Really nice plane. Love the engine pods.
The vertical stabiliser design looks a bit clipped, though.

Great covers everything about the second 787's first flight. Both chase planes in the frame as well!!!!

Nice pic but a very disappointing aircraft.. the a330 looks better but the engines look cool...
Anonymous

Indeed a great step for Boeing. But I have to agree with an earlier comment. I am disappointed too, as the 777 is a beauty, the cockpit-window design here does not match the beautiful wings and engines. Airbus and especially the A330 does beat em both.

The wingflex is practically orgasmic! 5 stars Boing

Ugly buildings and ugly chase plane, but the 787 isn't ugly at all, thats what makes this picture a 4 star! Why you think its ugly?

It's easy to neglect the larger windows and mistake this for a 737 scaled up in size... :-)

I think the 787 in this picture looks like a hawk, talons ready to strike. Amazingly beautiful aircraft.

I don't know why you guys are criticizing the 787, airbus and everyone else pretty much copied the 7E7/787's design components. I have no preference between the two companies. Beautiful Jet. Great capture : ).

Perfect alignment with the runway. Graceful glide. One of the comments made was regarding the nose-wheel doors remaining open. It indicates that the crew was probably executing a go-around on this occasion.

4 stars! After roundout, you're on centreline, thrust almost entirely off, stick still coming back to continue holding the pitch, 1000ft marker 'moving' to greet the wheels, God's in his place, all's well with the world. For me, the quiet intimacy of the shot is calming, all personnel have stepped out to see her, no doubt an emotional moment for most, for it represents all that is good in the future of aviation.
