N175AW (cn 23634/1423) A series of turns at FL150 during a functional test flight. We went on to do a manual gear and flap extension as well as test for spoiler float. We then climed to FL350 and performed another flight control check and turned off both packs to test the cabin de-pressurization rate (quite an interesting test!). After all that we returned to KGYR where the a/c will undergo a "C" check. [Nikon D100 - Sigma 15-30mm].

A manual standard terminal arrival to the initial approach fix, and about to descend into the clouds. Flying that approach manually is the best way to learn and maintain your flying skill

I like the way the clouds are just under the plane and I like how this photo is taken.

Very well done with an excellent view of the overhead panel!

Goodyear is one of the sadder airports around the valley. All those beautiful jets just sitting there. :/ Marana isn't much better, either--though not that close to the valley.

I know what you mean; these test flights are always fun. Make sure they fix the standby compass and the centre post cover in that C-check. Thanks for the picture!

No that's not it ;-) No airplane is completely air tight, so the air flows out of the cabin at a very slow rate, if you turn of your Packs, the cabin altitude will climb, until it's equal to the outside pressure.

Nice picture :D

I love cockpit shots. I like seeing the sky in front the cockpit, and being able to almost feel the plane making it's turn.

Test the cabin de-pressurization rate? does that mean you basically nose-dived really fast??
