N392AN (cn 29429/700) At 2300LT of July 20th 2007 the Amazonic ACC had an electrical collapse due human failure and ALL frequencies got down. The planes couldn´t enter at flight information region and those in flight must land immediately at the first airport available. SBEG received 3 flights on that night: one of TAM en route to MIA and two AA, a Triple Seven to MIA and this 767 to DFW. Both American planes departed only at 0530AM LT. This is my 100th pic at A.net!

A visitor from South Africa posted Sat September 8, 2007: I was one of the people affected by this chaos, Guarulhos Airport in Sao Paulo was a madhouse that night. It happened again a few days later. Human error is a polite way of putting incompetence.
