NC17334 (cn 1920) During the summer of 1934, American decided that it needed a plane that could fly nonstop between New York and Chicago with both the roominess of the Condor and also the DC-2's performance. It approached Douglas about providing a plane to meet these requirements. Manufactured in 1937. Other registrations include: NC17334, XB-JAD, XB-HED, N4843V. Now in the splendid AA color's of "Flagship Detroit". First picture of this plane in these colors in database. |
