The history in this picture is amazing even though it was taken in 2007. The Flagship Detroit is the worlds oldest flying DC3, having started out as an American Airlines DC3. The Flagship Detroit Foundation has done an amazing job with the restoration. The picture was taken at AA's LGA Employee Appreciation Day. Its thought that AA's LGA hangars are the last standing structures (parts of them) that once housed one of AA's larger DC3 operations.
