Remark Photographer
N370AA (cn 25197/425) AA had 3 flights/day during the summer time from DFW and MIA to SCL, all arriving early morning. These aircraft are parked during the day, waiting for the flights back at night. In the background you can see the eastern part of the main terminal, dedicated to domestic flights, and further back the cargo ramp and Rwy 17L [Canon Rebel XT + EF 17-40 f/4L USM].

Any particular reason those planes are opened up on what looks like a taxiway, instead of near the terminals?

They're not taken out, they just open to the inside of the aircraft. Nice picture Andrés!

Five stars.

Doesn't seem terribly efficient utilisation of equipment, having them sitting around all day doing nothing.

That's alot of parked steel! Most cost a fair bob for AA.
