Backlit it is, but it's AA and the vortices are what I want to show anyways...It has been nothing but high fog down here whereas in the mountains they get to enjoy blue skies every day! Just the time to pull out older shots from deep within my computer...

Backlight yields superb visualisation of an B767 engine fin vortex; the length of this engine fin vortex implies that this take-off is in a most quiescent atmosphere with very low background disturbances. near the flap vortex seems to become unstable due to jet noise coming around the flap trailing edge; vortex breaks down into rings
