Shocking news, here it is Feb 2012 and now AAmerican is going to abandon their Alliance Fort Worth base just like United abandoned it's Indianapolis base...leaving thousands of employees stranded in the midst of an economic depression. Shocking and sad news.

Nice to see a glimpse of the American facility at Alliance. It's one of the most modern maintenance bases in the world. It was a shining example of what the major airlines SHOULD be. United had opened a similar facility in Indianapolis in 1994, but abandoned it in 2003.

Hats off to AA for joining in to sponsor the Susan G. Komen "Race for the Cure" of breast cancer. I hope we get to see other photos of other AA equipment with the pink ribbon logo.
Only change I'd make, is to enlarge the pink ribbon the engine cowlings.

I think the ribbon complements the livery--and the breast cancer prevention foundation!
