Yeah, the ANZ901 crashed 6 months later. The tail number was ZK-NZP and uses GE engines. Also, don't forget Turkish 981 in 1974. The worst disaster involving in a DC-10 (TC-JAV, called "Ankara", 346 people killed) :(

A visitor from United States posted Tue July 27, 2010:
A few months after this one crashed, another disaster struck the DC-10, this time in Antarctica, with yet again, the grounding of the worldwide DC-10 fleet. Truly devastating.

May the crew and passengers of AA 191 and ANZ 901 rest in peace.

Sadly, this beautiful DC-10-10 was involved in the worst US air

A visitor from United States posted Mon August 3, 2009:
It was not the captains fault, it was the ground crew who was working on the plane. It should not deserve bad reputation just because of the ground crew.

A visitor from Brazil posted Mon May 25, 2009:
Exactly 30 years ago, this aircraft was destroyed shortly after take-off, with the loss of 258 passengers, 13 crew and 2 persons on the ground. It was a very sad day, US worst air disaster, a tragedy that we`ll never forget, may they rest in peace. Chicago O'Hare airport, runway 32 R.

A visitor from Brazil posted Sat January 31, 2009:
Great aircraft, did not deserve its bad reputation for being involved in so many fatal accidents.
