I was astonished to see the photo of this hulk of an airplane...absolutely eviscerated. No wings and not much left of the fusilage...a veritable cross section of what little is left.
There is a tragic beauty to this photograph. Aircraft always strike me as beautiful and wondrous, even in forlorn conditions such as these.

All the American Eagle Accidents in Puerto Rico were some how related to Mayaguez, 2 different Casa 212 Crashed in Mayaguez, late 80s and early 90s and this one crashed in San Juan coming from Mayaguez. Coincidence!
