It's interesting that in this view it doesn't look that long, while huge size of the horizontal tail is apparent. Why don't they remove the space shuttle attachment points and their covers? I doubt they will ever be used again.

Thank you for posting this. In this lighting you can clearly see the various panels and other bumps that you would not see had the lighting been different.
Looks like a hydraulic leak near the flaps guys !
