Its a Ukrainian aircraft, their aerodrome locates in 15 km from me.
Nice joke about versions.. The Galaxy is a pindos version of An-124 (not at all - check the tech) but not An-225.. This is an unique giant aircraft.
It seems the female of a very large bird, keeping the puppies under the wings ;-D .. Joking aside, great shot! The Mriya front view is really impressive! 5 stars
That bird is HUGE! A friend of mine and I were talking about the largest planes (cargo or otherwise) we'd ever seen, and I'm thinking to mmyself "it's gotta be the C5-A Galaxy", and he goes, look at the Russian version of the Galaxy. My friend wasn't kidding....this thing is GINORMOUS! WOW
Great photo amazing plane
A product of the cold war?wel it looks pretty hot to me.what a fantastic a/c

That is one big plane | |
Power! | |
Great shoot, great plane. One of the most impressive gigants.
This is the best plane to spot. At YYZ we are so lucky to get a view once a year at best.
I love how this plane just laughs in airbuses face!
Great shot | |
Amazing shot of one of the rarest aircraft of the world! Would have been even more impressive if there was something to compare it to though, like a car or a person
That thing is a beast! Very nice photo, perfect framing :]
Pretty much a C5 on steroids :P
Brilliant!! its a wonder how it can get off the ground!! this plane could carry 1500 passengers. I'd love to fly it!!!
Wooow... i have been in airliners.net for several year.. this is the most amazing photo!! . i love it!!
No comments! amazing | |
An Unbelievable flying machine. To be able to walk next to it would be a dream, and to fly in it, better than winning the lottery!
Airbus A380 maybe the hugest "passenger" plane, but this plane is the "biggest among ALL of the airplanes". Congrats to Russia...
Wow wings | |
Imposing giant | |
I just wane tell you I have never seen such huge picture like that.
The sheer size of this unique aircraft is clearly seen in this shot.the power of tbhe aircraft is easily regognised, and is a credit to the manufacturer.
Antonov225 is a very great invention of Russia. Aeroplane manufacturers r busy in making the planes which r light weight so that it can fly easily but this planes has set an example for those who think heavy planes cannot fly. Antonov 225 is the dad of every heavy plane in this world.... Good Work ! This shows that big people from the big country think big.....
Amazing aircraft. We actually had this plane fly into the main airport where I live today. Unfortunately, school and two midterms kept me away.
The photo has nice shape as the plane itself.
The monster is coming....Nice angle, nice plane
It's USSR Plane ,Ukraine hasn't made it neither Russians. It's USSR's history and it is one of the biggest planes on the world. Russia is about to buy Antonov's company ;))
Does "tha" really can fly...?
This picture leaves you breathless... I don't know what to say... Who said that mathematics and engineery could not be beautifull?
Where would you park this thing
Forget the Boogeyman, every night, I check my closet for THIS monster!!
Good | |
This plane doesnt ask for respect..it demands it! Nice picture. :)
These planes are huge. supposably the biggest plane in the world. the wingspan is huge at 219ft, and the boeing 737 fuselage can fit in its cargo hold. awesome pic
Sorry, but Russians really have a lot to do with it. It was designed and built in Soviet Union. /Just information / :)
It was designed to carry the russian shuttle "Buran", now is used as a transporter, and the only An-225 in service. Watching it takin´-off is a real rumble. T.B.
A/C is looking like very big and havy fiying master. How is he flying ?
Sorry, but Russians have nothing to do with it. It desighn and build in Ukraine.Ukrainian "Mriya"(Dream) in rassian -"Mechta". /Just information / :)
Very impressive this very heavy metal, these Russians know how to built planes!
That is one huge plane. It also looks intersting from the front.
Amazing aircraft. It also amazes me that they can build such enormous aircraft
Fantastic pic. | |
Incredible, a great shot of an amazing airplane.
Just great! | |
Onbelivebal | |
The fact that the background is similar to the subject the contrast is very good, plus the position the photo was taken all makes for a brilliant picture.
It's not just an aircraft... it's a monster of an aircraft! Awesome. I like its red stripe going from front to rear on both sides of the fuselage. (gp)
Great wide angle, shows how large is the wingspan of this incredible aircraft
Giant!!! | |
