A visitor from United Kingdom posted Mon January 10, 2011: Everything beautiful and well captured; send many like this one, it is enjoyable. Have you noticed nose landing gear is retracting backward ? Airbus and Boeing are mostly retracting forward. Is retracting forward to avoid colapsing in case of hard landing since it permits to use mechanical stops?

Great shot of the Tu-154 doing a high angle take off, but the thing that REALLY sets this photo into the realm of "awesome" is the Be-200 in the background, going the opposite direction! ( The Be-200 is such a unique aircraft ) Also, having that mountain for a background, rather than the usual drab sky, makes this photo much more interesting. Way to go, Pavel! Charley

Of course the main focus is the TU-154 taking off, but with its landing gear retracting, the seaplane departing in the backround and the scenic backdrop, you have captured a picture with alot of action and detail. Nice work.
