A2-649 (cn 5649) Rare rear view of RAAF 35 Squadron UH-1H A2-649 at RAAF Base Townsville, in January 1988. The helo is wearing a short-lived experimental Swedish style 'splinter/ geometric' livery known as ‘Barracuda SAAB’ camouflage. A2-649, ex US Army 66-1166, was Delivered to 5 Sqn Fairbairn in Nov 1967, as a UH-1D. She was transferred to Army in Dec 1989. No 35 Sqn was a 'Composite Squadron', operating two aircraft types. (Two Caribous and UH-1H A2-377, in standard camo livery, are at rear.)
