A visitor from - posted Thu July 17, 2008: This photograph is not just great, but I think that it is superb and brilliantly taken. I wish I had been there to do the same. The little aircraft 'on' the wing is quite effective. congratulations to the photographer |

A visitor from United States posted Fri July 4, 2008: If their was no that fighter jet then the image would be a lot better, but still good shot. |
A visitor from Philippines posted Fri July 4, 2008: Nice tail! Just a shame they didn't keep the plane for another year to make it an even 30. |

A visitor from United Kingdom posted Tue July 1, 2008: This event led to people all over Sydney panicking as they thought there was some kind of terrorist activity going on!
They should have publicised it more beforehand, as to the uninformed this could have been a RAAF fighter preparing to bring down a hijacked jet or something. |
A visitor from Australia posted Tue July 1, 2008: It's interesting how your perspective depends on your level of information and vantage point. Apparently the low, slow pass over Sydney by the RAAF's last B707 upset a lot of people. The RAAF received multiple complaints about the noise and lack of warning. Someone wrote to the Sydney Morning Herald to say that they work on the 29th floor of a city building, where many office workers were terrified to see what appeared to be an airliner trailing smoke (presumably just the old technology B707 engines) and pursued by a fighter. The big plane appeared to be flying straight towards their building! |
A visitor from Australia posted Tue July 1, 2008: This amazing bird will be missed by all Australians |
A visitor from Australia posted Mon June 30, 2008: This is the best shot of a raaf 707 ever. it is such a nice plane when seen in person as i have. |
A visitor from Australia posted Mon June 30, 2008: It is such a good shot of the last 707 operated by the RAAF |
A visitor from Australia posted Mon June 30, 2008: This is an awsome shot of the last RAAF 707!!! |
A visitor from Australia posted Mon June 30, 2008: Was in the city yesterday when this went over. Impressive both visually and to the ears! Caused a bit of stir though with many people thinking it was a terrorist attack. Papers and radio had a lot of angry people commenting. I used to watch these old birds from my Aunt and Uncle's place in the mountains above Richmond back when they did VIP. Good memories. |
A visitor from Australia posted Mon June 30, 2008: MB, stunning shot of a gorgeous, gorgeous jet! You picked your location perfectly. Cheers from BNE, CM. |

A visitor from United States posted Mon June 30, 2008: This a definitely 5-star quality! I noticed the HF antenna sprouting forth from the tail - looks like there's one (HF antenna) on the right wing too. I believe some miltary versions of the 707 had HF antennas on one or both wing tips too. A great photo of a great aircraft! |
A visitor from Canada posted Mon June 30, 2008: Very nice picture! This flyby caused some paranoia in downtown Sidney - a few offices were evacuated! |
