A visitor from France posted Fri October 15, 2010:Nice shot ! An F-18 would make no sense as a chase plane, it's too big and too fast for the task. A chase plane must be able to fly slowly. Boeing still uses T-33 (at least two) to this day. Airbus/EADS/ATR use an old AƩrospatiale Corvette (yes, it's a plane).
A visitor from Netherlands posted Sun August 1, 2010:A more modern chase plane would make sense indeed. F18 sounds like a good proposal to me since it is Boeing-made now too (demise of McDonnel Douglas). Quite amusing Boeing's chase plane is built by Canadair.
A visitor from United States posted Mon September 25, 2006:Very nice shot, but I would have though Boeing would use a more contemporary chase plane: I.E. F-18
