A3-42 (cn 42) Rare low res view of 77 Squadron Mirage IIIO(F/A) A3-42 parked on the RAAF Wagga Parade Ground in 1986. (This location suggests that she was not being used as a Training Aid by the RAAF School of Technical Training (RAAFSTT.) This Retired 'Miracle' has two 286 Imp Gal (1300 litre) external fuel tanks fitted. (A3-72 was also occupying a corner of the Parade Ground that day.) I also photographed A3-42 on display at the Drage Aviation Museum at Wangaratta in 1997. This is one of the few RAAF Mirages which escaped being stored at Woomera and sold to Pakistan. Apologies for the low quality of this photo.
