Remark Photographer
A3-8 (cn 8) A new Mirage IIIO(F) - 'A Naked French Lady' - does a 'gear down' flypast over RAAF Base Laverton during the 1965 Air Display. The Mirage, also known in the RAAF as the 'Miracle', was fitted with a SNECMA Atar O-9C engine. This aircraft, A3-8, is still in original bare metal finish, with old vertical tri-colour tail-flash. A3-8 was the only Mirage with a Black/Yellow ‘Tiger’ fin flash in the 2(F)OCU line-up in 1965. Delivered 07Aug1964, Crashed on take-off East Sale 17Feb1978. (Ref ADF-Serials.)
