A21-9 (cn 0316/AF009) 'Purple Cobra 3' taxying out after Lead and 2 for a Hornet 4-ship display at the Australian International Airshow. Built as a Block 16 Hornet. Delivered to RAAF Williamtown from GAF Avalon on 29 August 1986, one of the first two Hornets with the RAAF's first operational Hornet unit, 3 Squadron. Currently with 77 Squadron, whose 'Grumpy Monkey' unit marks it wears.
