HD874 Rare image of Supermarine Seagull V HD874 under restoration at the RAAF Museum Point Cook in 2000. She was one of 24 Seagull Vs received by the RAAF from 1939. HD874 was delivered on 19Sep1943 and was transferred to the Department of External Affairs on 02Oct1947, for use in Antarctica - operated by RAAF crews. She was wrecked in a gale on Heard Island on 05Jan1948. She is now fully restored, and is displayed at the RAAF Museum, with clear panels to show the wing structure. Low res photo.
