Wonderful twin-engined fighter under restoration of The Fighter Collection at Duxford. Aircraft is restored from parts of two wreckaged Beaufighters - A19-144 (RAF serial JM135) and A19-148 (RAF serial JL946) - an the tail section of the third - A19-36. First two Beaufighters crashlanded at Drysdale Airfield in Western Australia in January 1944. Landed wheels-up alongside the main strip after returning from a raid over Timor Island. In 1981 were there salvaged and transported to the first time to Sydney.
