An RAAF Canberra does an aileron roll flypast at the 1966 Laverton Air Display (Topside View). This aircraft was delivered to the RAAF in April 1956, and was the First Canberra to be fitted with Rolls Royce Avon Mk 109 engines. Unfortunately, this aircraft was shot down by a Surface to Air Missile (SAM) in Vietnam on 14 March 1971. The 2 Squadron Pilot (Unit CO) and his Navigator ejected safely and were rescued by a US Army helicopter. Low Res photo.
