VH-ANC (cn 42949) "Warana" touches down at Essendon shortly after delivery to ANA. At right is the airline's storage area with three Douglas DC-2's including VH-USY at left. At far right is ANA's Douglas DC-5 VH-ARD (c/n 426) which was sold to Israel in 1948 and after use as a training airframe, and being the last type survivor, was scrapped in 1955. Image from ANA 60 years ago.
