Indeed a dramantic moment: nose gear touching down first. OW!!

A visitor from Portugal posted Thu January 25, 2007:
Sorry but the 1057767 photo isn't "few moments later" but in fact is before. The grey building in 1057767 photo is the back of the fire depart. In 1057647, the fire dept is already visible. As Jorge said "after a hard touch down "jumping" and after this a little nose diving such close to the ground" as scary as it looks, the final picture it´s the dive after the "jump". Great job Madeira Spotters for the time spent.

A great photo of a not so great landing. There is another pic in the library which shows this landing a few moments later-(1057767), and it still aint pretty!!

The exact moment when various orrifices tighten cannot be better documented

A visitor from Turkey posted Sat June 17, 2006:
Very good timing. It can not be windshear, if it was there should be a go-around. I think it is a bad landing. (but the excellent! stick ...?)

A visitor from Germany posted Wed June 14, 2006:
There is no such thing as a windshear from the back!
Probably meant a wind gust from behind, although it's rather unrealistic. It looks a lot more like a bad landing, trying to put it on the groung, despite a too high velocity for breaking the ground effect.

A visitor from Luxembourg posted Wed June 14, 2006:
What's that, a joystick failure?

Beautiful colors, well framed. Poor nose gear!

A visitor from United States posted Sat June 10, 2006:
Look worse than it is. Most likely turbulence on landing, which is very common for this area, and a slight nose down landing approch is common

A visitor from Russian Federation posted Sat June 10, 2006:
WOW! Cool!
Ñongratulate!
