 A visitor from - posted Thu August 19, 2010:Good picture, even though it is a Black & White one. I understand that this Caravelle previously served with Cruzeiro Do Sul and Varig. Then, it was leased to Viasa for a short term and returned to Avensa. Sadly, it was destroyed during a hard landing in Barquisimeto, State of Lara in 1973 and written-off the same year. | A visitor from - posted Thu May 8, 2008: A very rare picture of this Caravelle using Avensa colors. Next to it are a DC-3, a Convair 540 and a Convair 280. As far as I know, this airplane was the only Caravelle operated by Avensa by the time this picture was taken. | |
