Incredible picture especially for film and 1960's night image

Wow! Posted in 2008, why do foolish I only come across it now, nearly 2012! In my opinion even for today's standards a fine shot, but for '67 that must be an absolute cracker!
The atmosphere and the subject are great, highly intersting classic jetliner and airline, and the Swedish surroundings are beautiful too. Classic English delights, in a Swedish giftbox! Merry Christmas!

I love these crystal clear winter-night shots! Amazing how well the original slide has survived all those years.

I'll bet getting at the engines to work on them
was a lot of "fun"!

A fantastic Kodachrome shot of this rare and classic airliner. Beautiful winter light and very well preserved. A real historic document. Thank you for sharing it!

A real nice aircraft -even being on the ground it feels like it's going to take off every second.

Very nice photo, I wish for seen a Comet live one day.

An outstanding tribute to an unique aircraft that payed a misfortunate toll for being a decade in advance over its competitors! The sharpness of the picture vividly enhances the restrained and handsome design of both the aircraft and its mid-sixties BEA livery. A collector's photo!

It's rare to see such clear shots. Bravo for this 40 year old beauty !

A magnificent and detail-clear glimpse of a Series IV in its handsome BEA livery. The swedish police Anglia adds an unwilling british flavour to the scene...

Very evocative of the time. atmospheric lighting. like seeing period photos. is the comet the most beautiful aircraft ever built?

A visitor from United States posted Fri March 7, 2008:
Great Historical shot! I see the redesigned comet windows here after the explosive decompression issue was resolved. Too bad we don't see any of these flying around anymore in remote cargo ops like the 707....

Beautiful photo of a classic aircraft - it's so clear and well lit it almost looks like a movie set!

Very good quality photo for 67, the flood lights add real atmosphere too. The cars are still RHD and there is a Viscount in the background!
