Oh my gosh, nostalgia! I used to fly on Tridents at least once a year from the age of 3 on the Super Shuttle from LHR to BFS and then of course later back to LHR, from about 1980 onwards. My mother always checked us in dead early so we could pick those front seats. I know it's odd but those tables are one of my earliest memories - I love flying and most of my very early memories are being on planes - I remember being very disappointed with the flimsy plastic tables that were on the Boeings (757s?) that replaced the Tridents on the Shuttle. This photo reminds me of how awesome it was to fly on a plane as a child "back in the day", getting to see the cockpit and stuff. Fantastic. I must seek out a preserved Trident and just sit in it and be overwhelmed by nostalgia. These planes gave me the flying bug and I love them for it.

I was born in the 70's, and I've seen how airplanes have changed...and they continue to fascinate me...
