This photo shows the amazing capacity and variety of traffic at lhr and the superb new control tower. it is not always raining in uk

A visitor from Canada posted Tue April 25, 2006:
"spot the little Scandinavian intruder" That's some cute commentary Christel. Like a little kid trying to play with the big boys.

A great shot showing a great scene.

I remember being in Air Mauritius when Air India was at the gate it is in the pic. The Air India guys opened the top door and to my amazment chucked fragile parcels out onto the apron.

What a pity that the observation facility is gone.

I see a MD-80 as well...does anyone else see it, or has it been mentioned before?

A visitor from United States posted Thu April 20, 2006:
Great shot, i love all the heavies, especially the UAL's. I counted 25 planes, not including the one being taken from. This shot really shows the detail and traffic density of London Heathrow.

A visitor from United Kingdom posted Thu April 20, 2006:
Bottom righthand corner huge new stands for when the A380 begins service later on in the year

A visitor from Australia posted Thu April 20, 2006:
Great shot, but heathrow is one filthy airport...needs major makeover!

A visitor from Sweden posted Thu April 20, 2006:
If all seven planes were from YYZ, then AC would do well with the A380. Great shot, shows the strength of ties between North America and the UK... And the Nordics :)

A visitor from United States posted Thu April 20, 2006:
Lots of AC flies from all over Canada. AA and UA flights from a few select cities.

A visitor from United Kingdom posted Thu April 20, 2006:
The BA heavies are at T4!!!!!

A visitor from Italy posted Wed April 19, 2006:
We liket that it was Heathrow Airport, because we like Heathrow lots. We know everything about Heathrow, and we could recognise the buildings and everything. Awsume picture of our favorite place!!!

A visitor from Canada posted Wed April 19, 2006:
Awsome. love the pic the way it shows all the heavies in a solid shot.

A visitor from United States posted Wed April 19, 2006:
Cool. I count 20 heavies plus the tiny SAS, which looks out of place. Funny how most of the heavies are from the United States.

A visitor from United States posted Wed April 19, 2006:
22 heavies! Wow!

A visitor from Canada posted Wed April 19, 2006:
The A380 for Air Canada? No, all these planes come from a variety of Canadian cities. YYZ, YUL, YYC, YVR, YHZ, etc.... so no, the A380 wouldn’t fit... Great photo Christel

A visitor from United Kingdom posted Wed April 19, 2006:
25 aircraft including the one it's being taken from ;-)

A visitor from United Kingdom posted Wed April 19, 2006:
Yep one little SAS.. + SAS MD80 turning off RWY09L.

A visitor from United States posted Wed April 19, 2006:
Yes! 23 planes w/ 7 ac!

A visitor from France posted Wed April 19, 2006:
Only one little SAS 737 in the middle of all these heavies ! great shot.

A visitor from Mexico posted Wed April 19, 2006:
Congratulations Christel!!! Very cool pic. I didn´t knew that AC had so many flights to London!.

I see 24 airplanes, of which 7 are AC?! I thought we were talking about YYZ!! =P

A visitor from United Kingdom posted Wed April 19, 2006:
That's a brilliant picture! I love pictures like this but believe it or not it was the little bit of red on the wing tip that made me view the photo... strange

A visitor from Canada posted Wed April 19, 2006:
Wow, those are alot of Air Canada's there at LHR. Good picture

A visitor from Canada posted Wed April 19, 2006:

A visitor from Canada posted Wed April 19, 2006:
I count 7 air canada planes!!! great photo christel!

A visitor from Canada posted Wed April 19, 2006:
Is that 7 Air Canada jets I see in the shot? You'd think with Heathrow's limited gates, would Air Canada consider an A380 if they have that many flights a day?
