G-ASZG (cn 18925/452) BOAC's aircraft procurement was always highly political, their original 707s had Rolls Royce Conway engines as did their VC-10s but they could not serve the US West Coast non stop from the U.K or carry such a quantity of freight as the developed JT-3D 707 so a small number of these were bought.
