What's going on with the bottom of the wings? Are those speed brakes?
Nostalgic, tragic and mysterious. A perfect capture. Only 1 Comet 3 was built!?
Absolutely beautiful, haunting almost.
Historical value | |
Fine picture. But, somehow, there
For the person from Mexico - Planes, ships etc. are referred to as "she", since they "carry" people just like a woman carries a baby. Great picture of a great plane!
The aeroplane setting the standards... and the nose shape is rediscovered at the Do728 / SSJ100 / B787...
The light beautifully captures the shape and form of the Comet's wings and fuselage. An iconic 50's aircraft showing off it's classic lines to great effect
Great photogaph of a beautifully designed aircraft. I flew on one of the Aerolineas Argentinas Comet-4C April '65 from EZE to what is now JFK. Two stops: Sao Paulo for passengers and Port of Spain for breakfast and fuel. It was a fantastic trip!!! I miss seeing this plane!
Why "she"..? anyway Lovely picture...!
There's something scary about this airplane, like if you ran into an alien on the street... odd!
Beautiful and yet so so tragic. Every time I work a piece of metal to break it apart I think of this one airplaine.
Incredible Aerodynamics.
What a wonderful picture!!
Ohhh! 5 stars! Beauty beauty beauty!
She's beautiful, isn't she? Like a science fiction concept of an amazing flying machine from a distant future. Even today, the Comet looks breathtaking - and this is a particularly lovely photo of her as well.
Pictures of this aircraft flying are very rare! Well done and thanks for sharing!
Classic and nostalgic !
