This photo is an absolute treasure! I flew out to Dar es Salaam on a sister-ship to this aircraft in 1952 (I think!)

This picture absolutely rolled back the years for me. I set my heart on flying from that time and am about to retire after 40 years as an airline pilot.

If you look on Google Earth you can still see some of the runways of the old airport near the stadium to the south of the city.
